Golf - Some of Western Canada's best golfing is waiting for you including 27 holes at Predator Ridge which is judged by some to be one of the best courses in Canada ranking up there with some of the best anywhere

Skiing - Silver Star is just 15 minutes up the hill and Big White only a short drive past Kelowna with Sun Peaks just north of Kamloops - not to mention a dozen or so other ski facilities within easy driving range. Heli-ski and SnoCat-skiing nearby

Cross Country skiing - Groomed trails and millions of acres of open land ready

Airports - Vernon Airport maintains a 3,500' runway airport in the City suitable for light/private aircraft. A short drive south, the Kelowna International Airport accomodates commercial flights that conect daily to Vancouver, Seattle, Calgary  and other major centers.

Auto Racing Enthusiasts - Sun Valley Speedway includes a full summer calendar including NASCAR

Shopping - All the stores you'd expect in any metropolitan area including the big box operations such as Walmart, Costco, Home Depot, Office Max and the rest - and then the one's you don't expect - hundreds of small specialty shops carefully nurtured by people who care/dare to bring you something different.
